You can help us make this thing as big as possible by spreading the word throughout your network. Our social media promo kit has lots of pre-written posts and graphics for you to use.
Here are three quick actions you can take that will really help:
- Add a #ClimateStrike frame to your profile picture (see promo kit for instructions)
- Invite as many friends as possible to the Facebook events for Friday’s die in, Sunday’s climate vigil and the big march and rally on the 27th
- Send direct messages and short emails to people in your network who are on the fence about attending (there’s a template in the promo kit)
- Print the Edmonton Climate Strike poster and / or handbills and distribute at your workplace and community
Get your workplace involved
Employees of various Edmonton workplaces have already reached out to ask about participating in the Global Climate Strikes and businesses and organizations around the world have started to announce their solidarity with climate strikers. The fact is, there is a clear, scientific consensus around the crisis of climate change and it’s going to take all of us to make the changes necessary to preserve our future.
